Founder and Group Chairperson Nqobile Valentia Mkhabela transitions to strategic leadership role

Siyanqoba Ngamandla Holdings announces the appointment of Edmund Monare as Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, following a leadership transition that took effect on 1 July 2026.
Edmund has served as General Manager of the Group since September 2024. His career spans supply chain management, logistics, operations, business development and executive management, with experience in mining solutions, staffing and logistics.
Before joining Siyanqoba, he held senior leadership positions including Managing Director of TMG People Solutions, Chief Operating Officer of RAPX Mining Solutions and Managing Director of LSC Staffing Solutions. His experience includes business development, financial management, operational performance, customer relations and the development of strategic partnerships. He holds a Senior Management Programme qualification from GIBS.
The appointment forms part of a leadership transition in which founder Nqobile Mkhabela assumes the role of Group Chairperson, providing strategic oversight at board level.
“Edmund has earned this appointment. I founded Siyanqoba to create something that outlasts any one person, including myself. This is that moment,” said Mkhabela.
For Mr Monare, the immediate focus is on strengthening the business through service, stakeholder relationships and growth.
“I strongly believe that the work must speak for itself,” said Monare.“Siyanqoba is nothing without its stakeholders. My focus is service, operational discipline, and making sure that every stakeholder who makes this business possible is treated accordingly. That includes our employees, our suppliers, our clients, and the communities we operate in”.
Since joining Siyanqoba, Edmund Monare has been part of a period of growth in the Group. He notes that the business has grown its workforce, reflecting what he describes as the result of maintaining a strong customer focus and commitment to service delivery.
As Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, his immediate priority is to build on that foundation and pursue further growth while maintaining the service standards and stakeholder relationships on which the business depends.
